International Vegetarian Union (IVU) was established in 1908, the first congress held in Germany. The congress held every year in different countries, aimed at promoting vegetarian/vegan. The International Vegetarian Union is made up of vegetarian/vegan groups from all over the world and it serves as a platform for the exchange resources and information.
Asia Pacific Vegetarian Union (APVU) is responsible for the management and promotion of vegetarian/vegan-related activities in Asia Pacific. As a branch of International Vegetarian Union, APVU mainly hosts congress and exchange in Asian countries every year.
Asia Pacific Vegan Certification Center (APVCC) in Hong Kong is the first organisation appointed and responsible for identifying the authenticity of vegetarian products with high level scientific inspection. All testing and certification are independent with high accuracy.
In recent years, rapid growth of vegetarian/vegan industry and consumer in Asia requires vegetarian/vegan certification which has been operating for many years in Western countries. Certification system in Hong Kong now with high-tech facilities and experienced personnel is capable of performing test in Asia.
The Vegetarian Certification (V-Cert) program has been performed by the Asia Pacific Vegan Certification Center (APVCC) as the first testing center in Hong Kong. The center has been commissioned since 2015, relevant professionals and technology organisation has been working on setting up testing system and has done product testing for factories in Asia.
